The picture is based on a traditional ouija or spirit board. All the details are there – the alphabet and numbers, and the words “Goodbye”, “Yes” and “No”. In the design are the sun and a crescent moon and a planchette with a skull in the centre. The writing is white on a black background.
Has cream-coloured blank pages, perfect for writing anything you wish. It is covered in embossed metallic paper which gives the image a striking, glowing effect. The picture on the front is of the Spirit Board, while the back features a larger image of the planchette, highlighted in silver against black. This is reproduced on the inside endpapers.
A black ribbon is attached to the journal to use as a bookmark.
